Broderick Clark: My mindset coming into the game was to go out and catch the ball. We have a long season in front of us so I need to continue to work and improve, but I had a good night that night....I didn't drop any balls, I ran good routes. I'm just thankful that coach had the faith in me to keep throwing me the rock.
Broderick Clark (ITV)
Clark: When we came out of the huddle, my eyes got big and I thought to myself, 'it's time to make a play!' I saw that they were going to press me, so I just took off and was able to make a great catch.
ITV: In talking with J.R. Russell after the game, he mentioned the ongoing tradition of having great receivers at Louisville.
Clark: We'll always be the AFROS (America's Finest Receivers on Saturdays). We look at ourselves as one of the elite receiving corp in the country and we need to continue that tradition.
ITV: Talk about the unity between the receivers.
Clark: Everybody gets along real well with each other, both on the field and off the field. We all have a good time off the field, but it's great when we are on the field.
ITV: Obviously the team has their own set of goals, but what goals are there for just the receivers?
Clark: We have a lot of goals. We want to be the top receiving corp in the nation. We want to try to have atleast three guys with atleast 50 catches. We just want to come out and shock people and prove a lot of people wrong.
