Nashville, Tenn., Montgomery Bell 2019 defensive end Jackson Hannah was familiar with the University of Louisville football program and also new U of L defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon before last weekend.
But the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Hannah learned even more last weekend.
Hannah was one of about 25 prospects that attended the Cardinals' Junior Day and he left campus with a scholarship offer. He also holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Vanderbilt and Memphis.
"Wow, what a great place and amazing people," Hannah said of Louisville. "I came away really impressed. I'm extremely thankful for the offer and loved the atmosphere up there."
Hannah attended the Junior Day with MBA teammate Jackson Lampley, who already holds an offer from U of L. Hannah said the two are "like brothers" and really enjoyed the time together at U of L.
"It was a whole lot of fun," Hannah said.
With Sirmon, Hannah said he knows "a pretty good bit" about the new DC for the Cardinals. Sirmon's son, Jack, is a '18 linebacker from MBA rival Brentwood Academy.
"They are a great family and I got to know him a little better (at Junior Day)," Hannah said. "I got to spend a good deal of time with coach Sirmon and I really love what he's about."
Hannah said he plans a return trip to U of L.
