Playing on both sides of the ball for Atlanta (Ga.) Grady, Jaylen Rivers has the ability to suit up as a receiver or defensive back on the college level.
Last September Rivers picked up a scholarship offer from Louisville and has remained in contact with the 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect since doing so.
"I am really happy when they offered me," Rivers told Cardinal Authority. "I talk with Coach Ward and they like me because I'm fast, physical, size and also my versatility."
Rivers was a high school teammate of U of L tight end signee Kemari Averett. He's anticipating make the trip to Louisville to check out the Cardinals program and campus this weekend.
"I will be visiting on March 4th," he said. "I want to find out more about the academics and how their daily schedule is. I want get a feel for the school as well as the coaches and players."
In addition to Louisville, Rivers also holds scholarship offers from Georgia Southern, Troy, Tulane and others.
