Four-star Class of 2019 defensive back Adonis Otey was offered by the University of Louisville last month and he's been exciting to get on campus to check out the school every since then.
On Friday, Otey had that chance and said he was blown away by the U of L staff and campus.
"Amazing," Otey said. "They set the bar pretty high."
The 6-foot, 170-pound Otey has six total scholarship offers on the table, including Tennessee. He has been to Knoxville several times and said now he plans a return trip to Louisville.
"The campus was amazing," Otey said. "It was like none other that I have seen before.
"I'm going to get back up there pretty soon."
Otey played his freshman season at Murfreesboro, Tenn., Blackman High School before transferring to Franklin Road. He's now back at Blackman and is considered one of the elite '19 prospects in the state.
He was among a group of about eight prospects from the area to visit U of L on Friday.
Otey noted new defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon is recruiting the Nashville area hard because "there's plenty of talent" in the area. Sirmon played for the Tennessee Titans and his son plays at Brentwood Academy.
