Lakeland, Fla., Jenkins defensive end Jordan Domineck enjoyed his trip to Louisville; still hoping to land an offer from Cardinals.

Lakeland, Fla., Jenkins defensive end Jordan Domineck finally got a chance to check out the University of Louisville this weekend.

Domineck had been in touch with the Cardinals' staff for more than a year and attended Junior Day on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Domineck was impressed.

"I loved it," Domineck said. "The facility was astonishing as well as just the overall atmosphere. The campus is beautiful and everyone seems to care about you as a person not just a player.

"I really liked it a lot."

Domineck said U of L quarterbacks coach Nick Petrino is his main contact and they spent a lot of time chatting on Saturday.

"He's been sending me regular updates on the school and the team," Domineck said.

A two-time first team All-County selection, Domineck said the U of L staff told him they wanted to "see my progression through the spring" and then would talk to him about an offer.

Central Florida, Florida Atlantic, South Florida and Vanderbilt have already extended scholarship offers to Domineck, who says that "the process is starting to pick up a lot going into the spring season."
