Englewood, Colo., Cherry Creek athlete Dimitri Stanley recently picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville and last weekend had the opportunity to check out the Cardinals campus.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Stanley made the trip to U of L's Junior Day and left impressed.
"I had a really good time," Stanley said. "The coaches just kind of told me that they want me there. It's a great school with great players and coaches. I really liked it there a lot."
Stanley also has offers from Colorado State, Colorado and Iowa State.
As a junior, Stanley hauled in 65 receptions for 970 yards and 13 touchdowns, garnering All-County and All-State honors. He's also a standout point guard at Cherry Creek, he's currently averaging 11 points per game for a team headed into the post-season.
Stanley's father, Walter, played at Colorado.
