With already five scholarship offers to his credit, Doss High School 2019 defensive end Shawnkel Knight-Goff is starting to generate some more interest on the recruiting trail.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Knight-Goff is hearing from several other schools and on Saturday was at Louisville's Junior Day event.
Knight-Goff has been to the U of L campus several times and participated in camp last spring, which is when the U of L staff extended him an offer. But this time he got to see a few other things.
"I really liked the visit; I saw and heard some amazing things that's happening at Louisville with the school and the football team," Knight-Goff said. "I was told about how much the coaches care about the players, especially after football.
"They told me straight up about how things would be if I was to go to Louisville. I would be pushed to my fullest potential."
Knight-Goff had 37 tackles as a sophomore and also rushed for one TD and caught a TD in limited time on offense.
He already holds offers from U of L, Miami of Ohio, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Purdue and has drawn interest from Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Duke and Oregon, among others.
