The state of Kentucky has several elite Class of 2019 prospects, including Glasgow High School offensive lineman Tanner Bowles.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Bowles was a first-team All-Conference performer as a sophomore and last weekend was at the University of Louisville's Junior Day to check out the Cardinals.
"I really liked it a lot," Bowles said. "It is definitely a cool play to spend four years living."
Bowles knew a little about the place before he made a visit. He is the brother of former U of L player Hunter Bowles, who had his career cut short by an injury but was one of 15 U of L players who graduated in December.
The younger Bowles also visited a game last season at U of L and the Cardinals were his second offer. He was also offered by Kentucky.
But Bowles said he had a good time chatting with the U of L staff last weekend.
"The coaches were all really nice and were reminding the recruits they want you here to win a National Championship," Bowles said. "It was also really awesome getting to see the renovations being done to the stadium and locker rooms."
Bowles said he plans a return trip to check out the Cardinals.
