Overland Park, Kan., Blue Valley North defensive end Miles Emery added a Louisville offer last week

Overland Park, Kan., Blue Valley North defensive end is considering a visit to Louisville

Overland Park, Kan., Blue Valley North prospect Miles Emery is becoming one of the most sought-after defensive ends in the midwest, attracting attention programs from across the region and beyond.

Last week Louisville joined Iowa State, Kansas and Oklahoma in offering the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Emery.

"Really the offer caught me off guard," he told Cardinal Authority.

The Cardinals staff has been in contact with Emery for awhile, but chose to increase their attention last week.

"I was talking to them and they were showing interest," he said.  "They are wanting me to come down sometime, but I didn't really think they will offer me."

Now with an offer in hand, Emery hopes to visit soon.

Rated as an early three-star prospect by Scout.com, Emery ranks among the Midland Region's Top 100, checking in at No. 91.

He attended Texas' Junior Day and also anticipates visiting Central Florida and others expressing an interest.
