University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino confirmed to Cardinal Authority that three of his current players - Donovan Mitchell, Deng Adel and Jaylen Johnson - will test the NBA waters.
Pitino said all three players will test the waters but will not sign with agents, leaving open the possibility of returning to the Cardinals.
Mitchell, a sophomore, averaged 15.6 points and 4.9 rebounds a game and is listed right now as the No. 21 prospect in the NBA Draft by Draft Express. Pitino has said he would suggest Mitchell only leave if he's picked before the mid-20s.
Adel, also a sophomore, averaged 12.1 points and 4.5 rebounds a game, while Johnson averaged 8.1 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Underclassmen have until May 24 to decide if they want to return to school, as long as they don't sign with an agent.
