The Louisville's women's basketball team saw its season come to an end on Friday night, a 97-63 loss to top seed Baylor in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The University of Louisville women's basketball team saw its season come to an end on Friday night.

The Cardinals couldn't pull off the upset of Baylor like in the 2013 tournament, this time getting beat 97-63 by the top-seeded Bears in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.

Nina Davis scored 21 points to help Baylor, which never trailed. The Bears scored 13 seconds into the game and led 25-9 by the end of the first quarter. The Bears are now 33-3 on the season.

Asia Durr led the Cardinals with 21 points but was just 6 of 21 from the field.

The Cardinals hit just 21 of 70 from the field, including 7 of 21 from three-point range. Baylor outrebounded U of L 52-36.

"They played well and unfortunately we did not," Louisville coach Jeff Walz said. "We did not put up a performance that resembled anything I'd seen from our ball club in the last month."

The Cardinals finish the season 29-8.
