Manual athlete checks out U of L
Manual High School '19 wide receiver Aidan Robbins has been on Louisville's campus several times and was back again on Friday watching the Cardinals spring football practice.
He was joined my teammate Marcis Floyd, a 2018 cornerback/running back.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Robbins said he's hoping the Cardinals are close to making him an offer.
"The visit was great," he said. "I watched and analyzed a lot of football and I like what Louisville is doing seeing that I can play any position. I talked to coach (Bobby) Petrino and Pete (Nochta) of course.
"I know that they are watching me and have much interest in me and I expect an offer soon."
Robbins also had another takeaway from practice, noting he's "still trying to grasp how fast (Heisman winner) Lamar (Jackson) is in person."
Yeast back watching again
Louisville signee Russ Yeast said he "can't wait" until the day he arrives on campus.
The cornerback and one of the top prospects in the Class of 2017 was back on campus watching the Cardinals scrimmage on Saturday.
Yeast has been to a pair of spring practices and now the scrimmage. He's expected on campus around May 31.
Jeffersonville, Ind., High School walk-on Dayna Overton was also on campus.
Ohio lineman also visited U of L
Columbus, Ohio, Hamilton Township offensive lineman Tristan Kieffer visited U of L on Saturday.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Kieffer has also visited Purdue, Marshall, Ohio State, Ohio U. and Youngstown Sate and has visits set up for Eastern Michigan, Akron and several other smaller schools.
"I absolutely loved it," Kieffer said of U of L. "It may be my favorite place I have visited so far."
Kieffer is a member of the Class of 2018 and has a connection to the Cardinals.
"I've known (U of L tight end) Micky Crum since i was an eighth-grader," Kieffer said. "He is from my high school. I talked with coach (Mike) Summers and a couple graduate assistants."
