Louisville will host Kentucky in baseball on Tuesday night at 6 o'clock in Jim Patterson Stadium.

It's the Battle of the Bluegrass on the diamond on Tuesday night.

The University of Louisville has won five straight games in the series against the University of Kentucky and will be going for six in a row - and four straight at Jim Patterson Stadium - when the Cardinals host the Wildcats at 6 o'clock.

UK leads the overall series 61-40-1 but U of L has swept the regular-season series two years in a row.

It's also a battle of top 10 programs with U of L the consensus No. 2 ranked team in the nation by the six major polls, while Kentucky is ranked No. 8 in at least one of the major polls.

Louisville is 24-3 overall this season and has won five of six games, including two of three over the weekend at Virginia. The Cardinals will host Wake Forest this weekend for a big ACC three-game series.

Kentucky (21-8) had won 13 of 14 games before losing the final game of a three-game series with Vanderbilt on Sunday.

U of L is No. 13 in the RPI rankings, while UK checks in at No. 14.
