University of Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino spent time with the media on Friday at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky., previewing the Spring Game on Saturday.
Here are a few nuggets from the Petrino interview:
---Will be hot for the game on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Petrino said it will be a "very good challenge for us." He said there hasn't been much heat in the spring, so will tell them how in shape the guys are.
---The teams are split "pretty equal," but he will coach the Red team and said he for sure "wants to win the game."
---Petrino said Lamar Jackson will be in the game for quite a while or at least "until I know we've won."
----Focus for the spring game: "I'm going to call the plays for one of the team, so I want to win the game." He said he put Lonnie Galloway, Mike Summers and Kolby Smith with the other team and told them, "good luck, you probably won't win."
----True freshman Cole Bentley has been moved to the first team on the offensive line as a guard. Petrino said he's "going to be a really, really good football player for us."
----Reggie Bonnafon will get the reps as the starting running back on the Red team. He will most likely be switched to running back full time.
