The three big guys headed to Louisville struggled to get going in the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic on Saturday might.
But point guard Darius Perry sure didn't have any trouble.
The 6-foot-2 Perry was one of the best players on the floor, finishing with 22 points, three assists and two rebounds before a crowd of mostly Louisville fans at Freedom Hall.
The Thunder team - which featured the four future U of L players - lost 122-109 to the lightning.
"It was a lot of fun to play with these guys for the first time and in front of the fans," Perry said. "I can't wait to get back here for good."
Jordan Nwora, who played in the Jordan Brand Classic Regional game on Friday night in New York, said he was "dead tired." He finished with seven points and seven rebounds in 17 minutes.
Malik Williams was just 1-for-7 shooting and had three points and four rebounds. Lance Thomas finished with five points and five rebounds on 2-for-4 from the field.
