Tight end Jarrett Jackson is rated among the nation's top 50 at his position

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., tight end Jarrett Jackson is rated among the nation's top tight end prospects and on Saturday he was in the Derby City to attend Louisville's annual spring game.

A 6-foot-4, 255-pound tight end was able to experience much of U of L has to offer during his.  In addition to watching the Cardinals Red-White game, he also learned more about the practice and training expectations of the program, checked out some of the program's facilities and met with members of the coaching staff.

"It went great," he said.

His time learning about the possibilities at Louisville left him with a desire to gain an even larger understanding and has him already anticipating a return trip.

"I learned about their practice tempo and how they eat, train and live," he told Cardinal Authority.  "I plan on taking an official there so I'll get the whole nine."

He was also impressed by what he learned while visiting with the U of L coaching staff.

:They all showed love and really want me up here and think I can have an early impact as a freshmen," he said.

Jackson is currently rated as a rising three-star prospect by and checks in as the nation's No. 39 tight end.  He's rated No. 5 in Florida and No. 9 in the South Region.

In addition to Louisville, he has also collected scholarship offers from Duke, Florida, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.  Auburn, LSU and Wisconsin are also expressing heavy interest.

Jackson currently lists Louisville, Auburn, Duke, Florida, Pittsburgh and LSU as his current favorites.
