The University of Louisville football staff has told about 10 of the top members on the Class of 2019 in the state of Kentucky that the Cardinals want to land a bulk of the talent in that class.
One of those prospects is Christian Academy quarterback Austin Carr.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Carr doesn't have an offer from the Cardinals yet but has been on campus multiple times for games and junior day events. He was back for the spring game on Saturday.
"It was a lot of fun," Carr said. "I always enjoy being at Louisville.
"The coaches told me, (teammate) Milton (Wright) and a few others from the Class of 2019 that we would be the guys."
Carr was also a standout performer last summer at U of L's Quarterback Camp and said he would return this summer for camp. He led Christian Academy to the Class 2-A state title last season.
As a sophomore, Carr completed 113 of 204 passes for 1,610 yards and 21 touchdowns with just seven interceptions.
