Hinds (Miss.) College wide receiver Stephen Guidry is one of the nation's highest-rated junior college prospects.
Rated a four-star prospect, the one-time LSU commit, recently added a scholarship offer from Louisville to go along with a list that includes Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State and others.
"I was really excited about the offer and I know they produce good quarterbacks and they get the ball to their receivers a lot," he told Cardinal Authority. "I will be looking real hard into Louisville."
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver hauled in 30 receptions for 547 yards and five touchdowns in 2016. His Scout analysis defines a player that can be an immediate difference-maker for any program.
He is the type of player that you can really center your offense around. He has the skill set of a true outside receiver and he is a vertical threat. He can outrun the defense and when the coverage is tight he has the skills to make a play on the football and make the tough catch in traffic. For a bigger receiver he creates good separation. When the ball is in question he has that ability to reach down and find some extra speed to track down balls. If he can lock on his radar, then he can get to the football. He should be a weapon in the red zone.
Guidry says that he has "no favorites" and that he continues to consider all of his options and hopes to learn more about the Cardinals program soon.
"I have to set a date up but I will be visiting," he said.
When narrowing his choices, he admits that the success of the program and how his mother feels about it will be of equal importance.
"Good environment, my mother has to like it, and a good program," he said.
