Gonzales, La., three-star offensive lineman Cameron Wire is up over 30 scholarship offers.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Wire said he picked up No. 31 on Sunday night when he was offered by the staff at the University of Louisville. It's at least the fourth offer in Louisiana in the past week for the Cardinals.
Wire said he watched the Citrus Bowl when Louisville played LSU and was "very excited" about the new offer.
"I know about them playing LSU in the bowl game," he said, noting that he wants to learn more about the Cardinals.
A standout at the recent The Opening New Orleans, Wire said he's wide open with the recruiting process. He isn't ready to narrow his list down anytime in the near future.
The Scout.com evaluation from New Orleans: "Not only is he big and long, but the senior-to-be is patient during competition and it helps him manage pass rushers both big and small. Wire can give ground and redirect well enough to neutralize speed rushers while he is stout enough at the point of attack to slow defenders who outweigh him."
Wire has offers from Auburn, Alabama, Baylor, Mississippi State, Oregon, Tennessee and many others.
