Fresh off his official visit at Louisville, Independence Community College cornerback Antonio Howard has lifted the Cardinals program among his favorites.
"They're in the top three list," he told Cardinal Authority.
His commitment would be a late addition to the 2017 class and he'd join the program in time to participate in fall camp.
While he doesn't have an "official list" who else makes up his current top three, Howard also holds scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Kansas, Ole Miss, Iowa State and a number of others. He's also recently visited Texas A&M, with a quick trip to Arizona State, Rutgers or TCU remains a possibility.
Howard toured Louisville's expanding facilities and met with members of the coaching staff during his stay in Louisville.
"I loved it," he said. "I like it every thing about it. The coaching staff are great guys."
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Howard is from Hialeah, Fla., was an early West Virginia commit before eventually signing with Marshall out of high school. He hopes to announce his next destination soon.
"Sometime in the next week," he said.
He made 19 tackles, 14 of them solo, three tackles for loss, two sacks and forced two fumbles during his freshman season at Independence.
