5-star 2019 prospects Scottie Lewis and Bryan Antoine were "blown away" during a visit on Sunday to Louisville.

Five-star 2019 prospects Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis had quite the weekend.

The two top-10 prospects from the current sophomore class not only visited the University of Louisville on Sunday and then made the trip to Kentucky on Monday but they attended the Kentucky Derby.

Team Rio executive director Brian Klatsky said the two were "blown away" by the entire trip, noting he was with the two.

"They were blown away with how engaged the whole state was without professional sports," Klatsky said. "They would go into a restaurant in Louisville and even though they were 2019s, people knew who they were.

"They just had a really good time with the entire experience."

Louisville recently offered but Antoine and Lewis and both prospects told Scout.com two weeks ago that the relationship with the U of L staff was growing, Klatsky said it took another step forward on Sunday.

"They were very impressed," Klatsky said. "With Louisville, the message was very strong that Rick (Pitino) is there to get them better. He's an old-school developer and it's about just making them better players over the course of their career.

"Rick's resume and his history in the game and what he can do for them as players was really evident to them and not just at the college level but also at the next level."

U of L assistant coach Jordan Fair, who coached against the two prospects when he was with Team Breakdown on the Under Armour circuit before coming to Louisville over a year ago, has been the lead recruiter.

But Klatsky made it clear that "Rick (Pitino) is the reason for the interest," with the two standouts.

"The connection is Rick," he said. "There's just a few guys left in the game that are like the Godfathers of basketball. He's out there working just as hard and focused on the kids just like he was 20 years ago.

"He's one of the best ever. I think they had a little bit of understanding about the school and about him, but I think now they have a better understanding of just how deeply rooted he is in the history of the game and they really like him."

Lewis is a 6-foot-5 small forward ranked No. 4 in the Scout.com '19 rankings, while the 6-4 Antoine is a shooting guard and checks in at No. 11 among the top players in '19.
