Florida linebacker lands offer from U of L

The University of Louisville football staff has been busy with new scholarship offers, including one to Seffner, Fla., Armwood High School inside linebacker James Miller.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Miller is high on LSU, which has offered, and is also considering Indiana, Maryland, Kentucky, Oregon, South Carolina and West Virginia among others.

Miller is the No. 14 ranked inside linebacker in the Class of 2018 and has a total of 18 offers.

Cards offer Florida running back

Louisville was the first scholarship offer for Ocala, Fla., Vanguard running back Glover Cook.

The 6-foot, 170-pound Cook is a member of the Class of 2019 and was an honorable mention All-County performer last season as a sophomore for Vanguard. He played mostly wide receiver until late in the season.

He's already hearing from a bunch of other schools but it's the first offer.

"When I got in, I felt like I made things happen," Cook said.

Louisville extends offer to 2020 star

College Park, Ga., Woodward Academy athlete Arik Gilbert, who is one of the premier 2020 prospects in the country, has picked up an offer from Louisville. He already has eight other honors.

His other offers already include Alabama, North Carolina, N.C. State, Georgia and Florida State.

Rockledge, Fla., WR gets Louisville offer

Louisville assistant coach Kolby Smith visited the school and has offered Rockledge, Fla., Senior High School wide receiver Antoine Green, who now has double-digit offers.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Green is the No. 51 wide receiver in the talent-laden South Region.

He said recently that Oregon, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Purdue were among his leaders.

U of L offers Monday on a Wednesday

Atlanta, Ga., Carver four-star prospect Quindarious Monday landed an offer from the Cardinals, marking his 20th offer in all.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound safety is ranked as the No. 236 player in the country and checks in at No. 24 among safety prospects.

Monday recently told that Auburn was his leader, followed by Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, with Michigan coming somewhere after but noting he was still wide open in the process.

Another '20 prospect offered

Lanett, Ala., High School 2020 athlete Kristian Story added a Louisville offer to a list that already includes Alabama, Mississippi State and Jacksonville State.

Story is one of the top '20 prospects not only in Alabama but in the country. He played quarterback, wide receiver and cornerback as a freshman -  passing, running and catching for touchdowns.

Tennessee commit lands U of L offer

Melbourne, Fla., Holy Trinity Episcopal School running back Jashaun Corbin committed to Tennessee two weeks ago, but is still adding offers and looking around at other schools.

Corbin, who is expected to visit Michigan State soon, was offered by Louisville on Wednesday.

The 6-foot, 195-pound Corbin has almost 40 scholarship offers and is ranked as the No. 7 running back in the state of Florida and the No. 32 running back in the '18 class.

Corbin, who had more than 1,600 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior, also has offers from Notre Dame, Florida State, Florida, USC, Michigan, LSU and Oregon among others.

Ohio 4-star WR has an offer

Dayton, Ohio, Dunbar four-star wide receiver Joseph Scates picked up an offer from Louisville, tweeting on Wednesday afternoon that it was "great news" to hear from the Cardinals' staff.

Scates, who had been committed to Michigan State, has dozens of offers and is looking at the Spartans, Alabama, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State and Pittsburgh among others.

Ranked as the No. 17 wide receiver in the country, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound Scates is the No. 108 player in the '18 class.

Florida safety nabs U of L offer

Hollywood, Fla., Chaminade Prep safety Te'Cory Couch picked up his 10th offer - from the Louisville staff.

The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect in the Class of 2019 already had offers from Illinois, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Southern Mississippi, Central Florida, South Florida and Florida Atlantic among others.

Couch is listed as an athlete because he can play both sides of the ball.

U of L offer in for Alabama linebacker

Montgomery, Ala., linebacker Kevontae Ruggs went over a dozen offers recently and on Wednesday added one from Louisville.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Ruggs ha 92 tackles and two interceptions as a junior and is a three-star prospect.

He also has offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Illinois, Maryland, Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic and others.

Louisville offers two '19 prospects from Salem, Ga.

U of L landed wide receiver Justin Marshall, who attended Salem, Ga., High School during his first three years of high school, in the Class of 2017 and are now trying to land a couple of his teammates.

Keevan Bailey and Artemus McCorkle are two cornerbacks in the '19 class with interest but the first offers came from the Cardinals.

Cards offer Georgia commitment

Atlanta, Ga., Washington defensive end Rashad Cheney has been committed to Georgia since February.

But the 6-foot-3, 250-pound Cheney, a prospect in the Class of 2019, has been still landing offers and picked up one from U of L on Wednesday. He also has offers from LSU, Tennessee, Alabama and others.

Another '19 star from Ohio offered by U of L

Springfield, Ohio, High School cornerback Moses Douglass landed an offer from Louisville.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Douglass is the son of former NFL standout and current Springfield coach Moe Douglass. The younger Douglass already has over 20 offers, including Alabama, Iowa, Indiana and Michigan.

U of L the third offer for Atlanta DE

Louisville is the third offer - after Iowa State and South Carolina - for a 2019 prospect from the Atlanta area.

Atlanta Washington defensive end prospect Rodricus Fitten tweeted the U of L offer on Wednesday. He's a 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect and is expected to be one of the elite '19 prospects in the Atlanta area.
