Former Trinity High School standout Rodjay Burns is headed to the University of Louisville.
Burns, who was committed to the Cardinals for nearly a year before flipping to Ohio State just before signing day in 2016, confirmed to Cardinal Authority that he's leaving Ohio State and will enroll at U of L.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Burns will sit out the 2017 season and then have three years of eligibility remaining.
In seven games as a true freshman at Ohio State, Burns had two tackles, two pass break ups and returned an interception 75 yards in the season-opening win over Bowling Green.
Burns, a finalist for Kentucky Mr. Football honors as a senior at U of L, finished his senior season with 44 catches for 744 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also played safety and had 22 tackles and four interceptions.
