Baltimore (Mary.) St. Frances lineman Ben Amadi received what he described as a surprise from Louisville assistant Peter Sirmon on Friday, when Cardinals program became the second to extend a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-2, 288-pound offensive guard.
"It's was surprising I didn't expect to get the offer yet," he told Cardinal Authority. "(He said) that I move very well and that I'm very aggressive."
Louisville joins Columbia in offering Amadi, who is also garnering interest from Air Force, Arizona, Army, Georgia Southern, Mississippi State, Stanford, Temple and a host of FCS programs.
Significant interest is just really beginning for Amadi, who said that "he's enjoying the process" and claims no current favorite, but admits that "Louisville seems like a nice fit."
"(Coach Sirmon) said that I need to visit there during the summertime," he added.
When making visits, Amadi, who also plays defensive tackle, has some criteria that he'll be looking for.
"Competitive both academically and athletically, and a school where I can take a pre-med track," he said.
