The University of Louisville football staff has scored again in the '305'.
The Cardinals have had success recruiting the Miami-area in recent years and on Sunday morning landed a commitment from three-star Miami Carol City linebacker Yasir Abdullah.
The 6-foot-1, 188-pound Abdullah picked the Cardinals over LSU, Maryland, Purdue, South Florida and Syracuse among others.
Abdullah started his high school career at Cypress Lakes in Fort Myers, where his father was a coach, but spent last spring at Miramar High School - where he grew up - before playing last fall at Carol City.
He helped the Chiefs to the Class 6-A state championship and finished the season with 14 sacks.
Abdullah played outside linebacker to start last season and then had to move to more of a pass rush-type end to help the team. He played free safety, wide receiver and running back at Cypress Lakes.
He's the No. 77 ranked outside linebacker in the country, per Scout.com.
