Telfair to visit U of L
"Yes he is," Mrs. Telfair responded when asked if her son Sebastian would visit Louisville this weekend. "Pending the weather."
Mrs. Telfair was referring to the bad weather front moving through the area caused by hurricane Isabel and indicated that heavy rains and thuderstorms associated with the hurricane could push back Sebastian's official visit.
Last Friday, Coach Pitino and assistant Kevin Willard traveled to New York to make an in-home presentation to Telfair. Pitino also met with key frontcourt targets, 6'9 Brian Johnson, 6'8 Tello Palacios and 6'10 David Burgess last week.
Already in Pitino fold are 6'10 C Terrance Farley, a rapidly improving shotblocker from Louisville PRP, 6'7 Donta Smith, an explosive wing that ranks as perhaps the nation's top junior college prospect, and 6'6 Lorenzo Wade, a versatile and smooth wing prospect that ranks among the top 40 players nationally.
Telfair's addition along with one of the three interior players Coach Pitino visited last week would likely give Louisville one of the nation's top 2 or 3 ranked recruiting classes this year.
And pending Hurrican Isabel, Louisville will welcome New York's finest this weekend, Sebastian Telfair!
