Ian Hoskins "loved" visit to U of L

Campbellsville High School football prospect Ian Hoskins made an unofficial visit to Louisville for the UTEP game and according to his father, came away impressed.

When ITV spoke with Ian Hoskins of Campbellsville High School last Thursday evening, he informed us that he would be making the trip to Louisville for the Cardinals contest against UTEP.

On Monday evening we made a return call to the Hoskins household and had the opportunity to speak with his father, Bo Hoskins.

"He loved it," stated Mr. Hoskins. "He and his older brother went and we are coming up again this weekend, so I can see everything and talk with the coaches."

Ian, who plays both tailback and free safety at Campbellsville, is one of the top rushers in the state, having already rushed for over 300 yards. His nine touchdowns ranks him among the leaders in the Bluegrass State.

"He's talked with the coaches three or four times," continued Mr. Hoskins. "He has talked to Joe Whitt and Coach Nord and they have asked for more game film from him."

In addition to the Cardinals, Ian is also hearing regularly from Arkansas, Ball State and Syracuse, as well as a high number of Division I-AA programs.

On Thursday Ian told us that he is currently wide open, but that one program does have the lead. "My first choice is Louisville!"

At 6'2, 185-pounds, Hoskins has the type of frame that coaches on both sides of the ball would love to work with. A possible sleeper prospect, Hoskins, who grew up a fan of the Cardinals, could very well end up wearing the Red & Black.
