The game started at a fast pace with 3 turnover occurring in the first 2:10 of the game. The turnover theme continued throughout the game with the two teams combing for 13 turnovers.

Manual jumped out on top early when junior wide receiver Andrew Robinson caught an 80 yard from quarterback Austin Tiller on the first play from scrimmage. The excitement continued for the Rams when they intercepted a Brian Anderson pass just two plays into Male's drive.

After a Manual fumble human highlight reel Travis Watters took over. The senior scampered 37 yards for a touchdown, and after trading possessions Watters struck again catching a 70 yard pass from Anderson putting the Bulldogs up for good. Male added another touchdown just before half extending their led 18-7.

Male seemed to be in command after a 65 yard interception return for a touchdown, by defensive lineman Lamont Samuels. But the Rams refused to go away scoring on a 26 yard run near the end of the 3rd quarter.

Holding on to a 25-14 lead Marcus Hughes scored Male's final touchdown with 9:16 left in the game. LeVon Carter then took the kickoff 87 yards to put the score at 32-20. The two teams then exchanged possessions and Manual scored again with a 1:48 left.

Down by 6 the Rams kicked an onside kick but failed to recover giving the Bulldogs its 76th victory out of 119 games against their archrival Rams.

Male heads to the 1st round of the playoffs next week, carrying a 5 game winning streak. Coach Bobby Redman had this to say after the game, "There's a lot of momentum going into the playoffs, we were a ball club that everyone overlooked early, we've won 5 in a row and that's probably the best team we have played down the stretch they were extremely good and they played very hard. I thought we needed to win tonight, it was ugly and I thought we needed to win and we did."
