"I still like Louisville a lot, but West Virginia is up there too," explained Gross. "Actually, West Virginia might be in the lead just a little because they run the same type of offense that I had in high school."
Gross rushed for over 1,900 yards and had 25 touchdowns as a senior and along with teamed with recent Cardinal commitment WR/DB Marcus Folmer and fellow Louisville prospect and Alabama's Mr. Football Chris Nickson to help guide Neal High School to the Alabama 3A Title.
"I'll take at least two of those," continued Gross. "I'll definitely visit Louisville and West Virginia."
At this point he will visit Louisville on January 16th, the same weekend that Folmar is scheduled to make his trip to the River City.
Louisville assistant Joe Whitt Jr has been keeping constant contact with the Gross, who boasts a 40-speed of 4.3.
"He keeps telling that he is looking forward to me coming up," explained Gross. "He came down to my house right after Marcus committed for about 15 minutes to talk about me coming up there."
With the Cardinals moving to the Big East Conference in the near future, Alphonso Gross will most likely get to experience Louisville football, but the question of whether he'll be wearing the Red and Black or going against the Cardinal defense still remains to be answered. Stay tuned.
