You're going to get an up close and personal look at the University of Louisville's star point guard recruit, Sebastian Telfair, right here in the "Ville."
Inside The Ville has confirmed with Pleasure Ridge Park assistant basketball coach Larry Kihnley that the Panthers will play Telfair and the Lincoln High Railsplitters Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Louisville Gardens.
The contest will match two of the University of Louisville's 2004 fall signees in Telfair and 6'10 PRP center Terrance Farley.
Telfair, who is still nursing an injured ankle suffered against Darius Washington and Orlando Edgewater on ESPN two weeks ago, sat out last week's loss to Sheepshead Bay and played limited minutes earlier this week against Philadelphia Dougharty.
The time and ticket prices for the game have not been determined at this point. U of L plays South Florida in Tampa at 1:30 p.m. so an evening tip, at say 7:00 p.m., might be the answer.
On a related note, PRP will play in the finals of the Consolation Bracket at the Hooters Classic in Saint Petersburg, Florida this afternoon.
In three games in St. Pete's, University of Louisville signee Terrance Farley posted double-doubles in the first two games of the tournament and had 9 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to #24 Trinity (NH).
