No question! Myles picks Cards!

Inside theVille spoke with 3-star prospect Lamar Myles on New Years Day and the standout linebacker informed us that he had committed to the University of Louisville.

6'0, 205-pound Lamar Myles spoke with ITV on New Years Day about his recent decision to officially announce his commitment to Louisville following his visit the weekend of January 9th.

"I committed last weekend to Coach Gillhamer," Myles said. "I'll be visiting there next weekend. I'll make it official then."

As a senior at Lake Region High School in Eagle Lake, Fla, Myles recorded nearly 150 total tackles and 8 sacks. He also suited up at fullback where he totaled 635-yards and 7 touchdowns. He was named 1st Team All-County and was the Florida Athletic Coaches Association District 12 MVP.

Myles has the size, speed and strength to compete on the college level as a true freshman. Last year he established a new state record for total weight lifted in the Class 2A Weightlifting State Final and currently is able to bench 430 pounds.

"I'm very excited about coming [to Louisville]," continued Myles. "I like that I have the chance to play early. [Coach Gillhamer] told me that I'd play weakside linebacker."

The move to the BIG EAST Conference also played a role in his decision to commit to the Cardinals.

"That's big...it was important," Myles explained about the pending conference change.

Listed among the Top 100 prospects in Florida, Myles chose the Cardinals over offers from Auburn, South Florida, Georgia, East Carolina and others. He was also drawing considerable interest from LSU, Florida, Cincinnati and Tennessee.

While Myles told ITV that is committed to Louisville, he also stated that he may still make visits to Georgia (1/16) and Cincinnati.

According to Myles, he is fully eligible to play as a freshman.
