And the future of University of Louisville basketball will be on display as 6'10 Terrance Farley and 6'0 Sebastian Telfair will take the court when Louisville PRP takes on Brooklyn Lincoln High School.
PRP head coach Dale Mabrey, whose Panthers returned from the Hooters Classic in Saint Petersburg last Friday, said his team played fairly well in the Florida sun, reaching the consolation finals.
However, the Panthers didn't return unscathed, as a few of Mabrey's troops are nursing the bumps and bruises that come during a brutal stretch of games like the Panthers just completed.
PRP hopes a week of rest will be what the doctor ordered and will tune up for the showdown against Sebastian Telfair and Lincoln Friday night at Western High School with a game against the 6th Region Warriors.
Lincoln will also come to town with star Telfair still nursing a sore right ankle. Despite his injury, Telfair was brilliant in an 87-84 OT victory over the weekend at the Pangos Dream Classic, scoring 37 points on 5-8 three point shooting. He also had 6 assists.
Despite the injuries, the game should be an exciting, uptempo contest pitting two of Coach Pitino's fall 2003 signees.
