Cards lead for Tallahassee lineman

If it worked before, why stop! Louisville looks to the Tallahassee area once again...this time for a possible defensive tackle.

When looking at 6'2, 280-pound Joshua Henderson of Rickards High School in Tallahassee you may first think offensive lineman. Afterall, it is the position that he started at for his senior season.

The 2nd Team All-Big Bend selection has offers from Florida A&M, Alabama State and others who are seeking his services along the offensive front. One program however, is looking at Henderson as someone who could plug holes on the opposite line.

"Louisville is interested me as a defensive tackle," said Henderson. "They asked me to send them a tape showing my agility, so I'm doing that tomorrow."

While he does have offers from other programs closer to home, including FAMU, which is located in his hometown of Tallahassee, Henderson would consider the Cardinals his leader should they extend an offer.

"If [Louisville] offered, they'd be my school," explained Henderson. "I think they are close to offering...they just want to see my tape first."

Being from Rickards, Henderson says that he knows current Cardinals and former Rickards stars Kolby Smith and William Gay very well and that their presence would help Louisville feel more like home.

Henderson, who is fully qualified, will visit FAMU this weekend and is scheduled to make an official trip to Louisville the following weekend.
