New Offer, Leader for Alabama DT

L.D. Scott is a big defensive tackle from Auburn High School that has picked up his second offer. Scott names a leader for his services.

"I received an offer from Louisville," Scott said. "Louisville is my favorite," added L.D. Scott when asked about his current leader. Troy State is the other team that has already stepped up with an offer.

"The have a really good program and they are a team on the rise. They are moving to a new conference next year and that is really going to help them out," Scott replied.

Scott was in attendance at Auburn's A-Day game and said, "I was very impressed. They have a really nice weight room. I know most of the coaches there already and it was really nice."

When you know most of the coaches, it might be a little easier to have the opportunity to talk to several of them while visiting and that seemed to be the case with Scott. "I talked to the defensive line coach, linebackers coach, secondary coach, defensive coordinator, and the tight ends coach. I mostly talked to the offensive line coach because I'm friends with his son," Scott said.

"They talked to me about the program and how I could fit in. They have not offered but I know they want me," Scott stated.

Other schools are still in the mix and being considered by Scott and he said, "The main ones are Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Louisville, and Troy State."

Finishing out his junior year, Scott is running track and "we start our spring practice (football) in a week or two," added Scott.
