U of L to host Junior Day this weekend

The Louisville coaching staff will introduce the Cardinals football program to a number of upcoming seniors this Saturday.
REMINDER: Tomorrow's scrimmage has been moved to 3:30 today due to possible inclement weather on Saturday.

Nearly all who follow college football are aware of the five official visits that high school athletes are granted during the heart of the recruiting season each fall and winter. However, many are not aware that the majority of high school prospects take advantage of events such as Junior Day, Senior Day, spring games and camps to make a number of unofficial visits during the spring and summer.

The University of Louisville will be hosting its Junior Day this Saturday, introducing a number of talented athletes from around the Bluegrass State and surrounding areas to the Cardinal football program.

During such events, prospects often visit with their prospective position coaches, observe team practice and tour the facilities, giving them an upclose glance at what it would be like to be a member of the football team.

Such events are vital to the success of every program. It's an opportunity for the coaching staff, players and support staff, to show off the benefits of becoming a Louisville Cardinal. Visiting players will have an opportunity to find out if they feel as if they will fit in with the other players and get an idea of the goals and direction of the program. It also gives the coaching staff an early idea of how they believe a player may fit in with their program.

Inside the Ville has been burning the phone lines, speaking with players, parents and coaches around the state and region, locating those that will be attending Louisville's Junior Day on Saturday.

We realize that it is next to impossible to locate all that will be attending the event, but the following players have confirmed that they will make the trip this Saturday.
