One nation's top unsigned prospect, 6-foot-6 point guard Churchill Odia of Montrose Christian Academy (MD) will visit Louisville next weekend while playing in the Kentucky Derby Festival Classic.

According to a published report in the Cincinnati Enquirer, 6-foot-6 Churchill Odia will play in the Derby Festival Basketball Classic this weekend. (Inside The Ville has not independently confirmed this report as of Sunday morning).

Odia, who committed to Xavier last fall but did not sign a binding national letter of intent, will probably also visit the University of Louisville while in town.

According to Olumide Oyedeji, a former NBA player with the Seattle SuperSonics who has taken a prominent role in Odia's recruitment, told Inside The Ville last Thursday evening that Churchill would "Definitely visit Louisville next weekend."

At this point, Oyedeji said they're in the process of sending transcripts to certain schools that Odia wants to make visits to, including Louisville and Boston College, among others.

Oyedeji, a close friend of former U of L basketball player Mohammed Lasege, also told ITV that Odia had a clear desire to play in the annual basketball classic held each April in Freedom Hall, stating, "He definitely wants to play in it."

Though Oyedeji said that Odia still likes Xavier and that the Musketeers are still under consideration, it is important to the native Nigerian to investigate all of his options before picking the school of his choice.

"He's still open," Oyedeji said.
