Done Deal: Palacios to Louisville

Inside The Ville has confirmed that Tello Palacios has chosen Louisville.

Just before 3:00 pm Tuesday afternoon, Inside The Ville confirmed through sources close to the situation that 6'8 Tello Palacios,'s No. 27 ranked senior, has chosen Louisville over Baylor and Florida State.

Palacios' official announcement will likely come tomorrow at Our Savior New America school during a formal press conference.

One of the top two unsigned seniors in the nation, along with Detroit guard Malik Harriston, Palacios averaged 24 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists as a senior.

He participated in the talent-laden Roundball Classic in Chicago, the adidas Classic in Knoxville, TN, and the Nike Hoop Summit this spring.

Palacios, a combo-forward, joins 6'9 Brian Johnson of Oak Hill Academy, 6'5 Lorenzo Wade of Hargrave Military Academy, 6'7 Donta Smith of Southeastern C.C., and 6'10 Terrance Farley of Louisville Pleasure Ridge Park. Louisville also is in pursuit of 6'6 Churchill Odia of Montrose Christian (MD).

The addition of Palacios to an already strong recruiting class virtually assures Rick Pitino's program of having one of the top three incoming classes in the nation.

We'll have more on Palacios' decision to join Rick Pitino's program during the next couple of days.
