Jahi' Word-Daniels has offer from Cardinals

Jahi' Word-Daniels of Hoover High School in Alabama has collected three offers, including one from the University of Louisville.

As has become expected, Louisville is once again turning to the State of Alabama in search of quality talent that will help it's continued rise and prepare the program for its move into the Big East Conference in 2005.

One such prospect is Jahi' Word-Daniels of Hoover High School.

Word-Daniels (5'11, 16) is a quick cornerback that displays exceptional coverage skills that recorded 25 tackles and four interceptions last fall while helping Hoover to a final record of 14-1 and the schools second straight state title.

The attention that Word-Daniels is receiving is without question high as he has pulled offers from Duke, Louisville and Vanderbilt, with an offer from Georgia Tech on its way. Ole Miss, Memphis, Mississippi State, Auburn, Clemson and Alabama are also expressing high interest.

Jahi' had the following to say about the three schools that have given written offers thus far.

Duke: They have a great school, especially their academics. They were actually the first school to contact me. I liked their coach. He told me that they are working to change their football team around and I like that.

Louisville: I like Coach Whitt who is recruiting me. He's a really cool guy. They are moving from Conference USA to the Big East which I really like. That really caught my attention.

Vanderbilt: Like Duke, they are a very good school. They have offered my teammate Joe Caldwell too and they really want both us, which I like. I would be good to go somewhere where you already know someone.

Jahi' plans on attending upcoming camps at both Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.
