Rush: "Louisville has edge"

CHAPEL HILL, NC Ultra-talented small forward Brandon Rush says the University of Louisville sits atop his list of favorites.

Recent reports have indicated that Oklahoma had taken the lead for ultra-talented 6-foot-7 small forward Brandon Rush.

However, Rush told Inside The Ville Saturday night at the Dean E. Smith Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina that Louisville topped his current list.

"Louisville is my favorite and definitely has the edge," Rush said. "I like Rick Pitino and the way he lets his players play."

Rush also indicated that the Cardinals along with the Sooners and Mike Davis' Indiana Hoosiers comprised his current top three.

The Mount Zion forward also said that only Oklahoma is pushing hard for a visit at present. Rush said he had no plans for any visits this summer and probably wouldn't venture to see a college campus until next fall at the earliest.

While there's been considerable NBA talk surrounding the talented wing, for his part, Rush says the NBA really doesn't factor into his thinking at this point. "No not at all," Rush said when asked if the NBA is an option for him out of high school.

Rush, who's team didn't play especially well at the TOC, averaged 21 points during the three pool play games and seems to be working on expanding his skill package this summer.

"I'm working on improving my pull-up jump shot off the dribble," Rush explained.
