An athletic forward from Lynwood, California, Jefferson is reminicent of another former Golden State standout, Dorrell Wright. Though Jefferson doesn't possess as strong of a midrange game as Wright, physically and athletically the two are similar.

Later that night, Jefferson went head-to-head with TheInsiders.com's No. 1 ranked prospect, 6-6 forward Tasmin Mitchell, and more than held his own. In fact, Jefferson was a standout, showing he could put the ball on the floor and get to the hole and finish in transition. He was also exceptional on defense where he used his long arms to get steals in the passing lanes and to block shots around the basket.
Following a close play-off loss to Mitchell and the New Orleans Jazz, Jefferson told Inside The Ville that he's "wide open," with his recruitment and listed USC, Arizona, UCLA, Arizona State, Louisville and Kansas as his favorites.
"I'm looking for a good relationship with the coaching staff," Jefferson said. "Also, academics, whether or not I fit into their program and style of play and the enviroment of the school are important factors too."
And despite spending the past three years living in southern California, Jefferson has strong ties and familiarity with the Louisville area.
"I went to Jeffersonville High School for three weeks as a freshman before moving out to California with my family," Jefferson explained. "And my grandfather still lives in Jeffersonville."
Don't be surprised if the kid from California via Jeffersonville gets a closer look from at least one of the area's local teams this summer.
