"Michigan and NC State have called Coach Chaump and they seem pretty serious about me, so I'm expecting them both to offer soon," said Simpson.
As far as favorites go, Mikell isn't quite ready to name any yet.
"My list changes constantly, depending on who offers, who doesn't and so on."
In 2003, Simpson rushed for 850 yards and 17 touchdowns, he also caught 15 passes for 300 yards.
Besides the offers that he has are there any other schools he'd like to hear from?
"Miami, USC, and Pittsburgh. I sent tape to Miami and they've sent me mail. I haven't sent anything to USC yet. I have been to Pittsburgh twice and I really liked it. Coach Freeman was at the school twice last month, but they still haven't offered and I don't understand why."
Mikell qualified for the 4x100 and the 4x400 at the recent PIAA state track meet, but was suffering from a strained hamstring. He has visited Pittsburgh twice, Michigan, Virginia, and Maryland once. Next up for Mikell is a retake of his SATs on June 5th and an unofficial junior day trip to Virginia on June 12th. Simpson finished the last school term with a GPA of 2.8.
