Buckeye State DB Receives UofL Offer

Miamisburg (OH) High School's David Bruton has a handful of scholarship offers, including one from Louisville. So how does the highly sought after prospect have any current favorites?

One of the fast rising prospects in the country is Miamisburg (OH) High School defensive back David Bruton.

Bruton projects as a safety on the college level and has the size (6'2, 200), strength and speed (4.5) that has enabled him to become a top target for a number of college coaches.

"I've heard from all the Big Ten schools, a few of the SEC schools and some others," Bruton told Inside the Ville on Tuesday evening. "Wisconsin, Duke, Connecticut, Cincinnati have offered me. I think Louisville offered me too, but I sent them an email to make sure."

Bruton is sure to see an increase in the number of offers once he finishes his camp schedule, which gets into full gear on June 14th.

"I'm going to Purdue, Pitt, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame for camps," continued Bruton.

As he has stated before, one school currently stands ahead of the pack.

"I really like Notre Dame," continue Bruton. "I'm really open on my schools though."

As a junior, Bruton was impressive, totaling 58 tackles and 8 interceptions, returning one for a score and was named All-Mid Miami League and Southwest Ohio Honorable Mention last fall.

Bruton is also an excellent student and currently carries a 3.345 GPA.
