Covington OL Mike Donoghue Lists Two

Covington Catholic offensive lineman Mike Donoghue attended Louisville's Senior Day camp and talked with ITV on Tuesday about the camp and his favorites.

Mike Donoghue of Covington (KY) Catholic High School spent part of this past Sunday in Louisville for the Cardinals Senior Day camp.

"It was pretty good," said Donoghue who also attended Louisville's Junior Day earlier this year. "I think I held my own against the other guys there."

Following the camp Donoghue was able to spend some time checking out the Cardinals football facility and met with U of L offensive line coach Mike Summers, as well as head coach Bobby Petrino.

[Louisville] offered me through the mail a month or two ago, but it was good to be able to talk with them again," Donoghue explained. "I also went to their Junior Day, so I have been able to check it out a couple times."

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound offensive lineman has drawn interest from numerous schools and has collected five offers to date.

"Kentucky, Indiana, Louisville, Boston College and Cincinnati have offered me," Donoghue said. "Louisville and Indiana would be my top two, followed by Kentucky."

Donoghue also mentioned that he currently benches 335-pounds and squats 545-pounds. He was clocked with a 5.18 forty at the Nike Combine that he attended, but has more recently been timed with a flat 5.0.

"The Louisville coaches said that I could play guard or center there," said Donoghue, who will attend Kentucky's camp on June 26th.

As for a timeline on a possible decision...

"I'll probably wait until after my senior season," said Donoghue.
