Could Huertas decide before Nike Camp?

David Huertas' AAU coach, Art Alvarez, says that Louisville would like to wrap up his standout in the near future. Could David Huertas make a decision prior to this July's Nike All-America camp in Indianapolis?

David Huertas, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Arlington Country Day School in Jacksonville, Florida, will take five visits in the Fall, according to his AAU coach, Art Alvarez of the Miami Tropics.

"David has committed to visit Louisville, Arizona, Kansas, Florida, and Miami," Alvarez said. "He has turned down offers from many others schools including Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Florida State."

Huertas, rated four stars by the staff, will make his decision in the Fall after his visits.

"There are coaches trying to get him to commit now," Alvarez said. "Right now it looks like those will be the schools he visits in the Fall."

Alvarez stated that Huertas will attend the NIKE camp and then compete with his AAU team at the Peach Jam. "After the Peach Jam we are going to Orlando to play at the Showcase and then head to Vegas after that."

Alvarez pointed out that Louisville would love to get an early commitment out of Huertas.

"They think he is the best shooting guard out there," Alvarez said. "Rick Pitino really loves him and would love to get a verbal out of him before the NIKE camp."

But for now, there are five visits planned for the Fall.
