Williamsburg Receiver Gaining Interest

Tyler Ayers of Williamsburg (KY) High School is yet another tall receiver that is receiving interest from the Louisville coaching staff.

As a junior at Williamsburg High School, Tyler Ayers had his breakout season. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver pulled in 76 catches for 1,116 yards and 16 touchdowns while helping his school to a 7-4 final record. For his efforts he was named All-State honorable mention.

This past April Ayers attened Louisville's Junior Day and continues to receive attention from the Cardinals coaching staff.

"I spoke with Coach Nord when I was there," Ayers said. "I probably hear from Louisville the most. They sent me a schedule and asked if I'd like to come to some games this year and I definately want to do that."

Ayers, who also starts at linebacker for Williamsburg, as well as seeing a few snaps at tight end, is also hearing from a few other area programs.

"I'm getting a lot of letters from Cincinnati," Ayers said. "Kentucky, Middle Tennessee and Toledo are some of the others."

With only two players gone from a season ago, Williamsburg, which competes on the Class A level, should improve on its mark of a year ago.
