Huertas Makes Decision

EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS David Huertas went back and forth between Louisville and Florida last night before finally coming to terms with a decision at 2 A.M. this morning.

David Huertas went back and forth last night tyring to decide where he would attend college in the fall of 2005.

For a while, Louisville looked like the choice. Then, at 2 A.M. this morning, Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators emerged as the 6'4 shooters choice.

"David just committed to Florida," Miami Tropics AAU coach Art Alvarez told Inside The Ville just minutes after informing University of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino of the decision. "The decision simply came down to logistics. David's mother lives 40 minutes from Gainesville and the proximity of the campus to their home was the deciding factor."

"Had his mother lived close to Louisville, David would be going to Louisville," Alvarez added. "I thought Louisville had an edge basketball-wise, but the closeness to home of Florida made that the choice in the end. I really have to commend Coach Pitino and Coach Vince Taylor for the way they recruited David."

With one scholarship remaining to give, and looking for a capable outside shooter, Louisville will probably turn their to 6-foot-5 Bryan Harvey of Dominguez High School in Compton, California and, perhaps, 6-foot-6 Marcus Williams of Seattle, Washington.
