Beasley who is an incoming freshman had a double-double in his first game scoring 17 and grabbing 11 boards. He is comparable to Carmelo Anthony, his game is very smooth and he shoots the ball well from deep.
D.J. Augustine passes the ball well and is going to be a fine point guard in college. He scored 11 points and threw out a couple assists in his first game. Augustine said he has five schools in mind North Carolina, LSU, Wake Forest, Duke, and Michigan.
After two great games on Thursday, Nolan Smith didn't disappoint scoring 18 and 15 today. Smith ran the point for much of the day and really got other teammates involved. He has improved vastly since Bob Gibbons TOC in Durham. He looks more confident and really hits the boards hard.
Most teams at adidas camp have been fairly even but that's not the case with Terrence Williams' team. His team just can't get it on track and have lost all four of their games by over 20 points. Although on a bad team, Terrence really has begun to come out of his shell. He began taking the ball to the rack in his second game of the day, and threw down a nasty windmill dunk. Terrence can create his own shot, gets to the basket at will, and has great court vision from the free-throw line in. T-will finished with 10 points in both of his games today.
Lamar Roberson continues to amaze me. He does all of the little things to help his team win. His team is undefeated and Roberson is a big part of that. He is very unselfish and has the potential to be a stud in college. He scored 10 and had 5 boards in his last game.
Marcus Williams played a little in his first game before pulling a muscle. Marcus tried to give it a go in the second game but couldn't. It's a minor injury but could hold him out for the rest of the camp.
Paul Harris is one of the better guards at camp and his stats show it. His first game he had 21 points and 8 boards and then followed that up with a 25 point 6 rebound effort. He has a big body for a guard and plays hard the whole game.
Coaches in attendance included Gary Williams, Bobby Knight, Reggie Theus, Bobby Lutes, Buzz Peterson, and Jim Calhoun.
