Johnson, the high-flying 6-foot-5 athlete from Westchester High School in Los Angeles, Calif., said that he will unofficially visit Louisville from Aug. 5-7. He's also hoping to take trips to both Connecticut and Georgia Tech sometime during August.
"I don't want to have my scholarship taken away," Johnson said of his reasons for his tentative August trips. "Going somewhere close to home is fading away, and my mom loves me too much to leave."
Having already unofficially visited Syracuse as a junior, Johnson is eager to look at Connecticut, where Los Angeles native Marcus Williams will be a sophomore. With Georgia Tech preparing for a European trip in August, Johnson would embrace the opportunity to see the campus and meet some of the players from Paul Hewitt's NCAA runner-up.
