Top JUCO DL has offer from Louisville

Zach Anderson, one of the top junior college defensive linemen in the nation this season, has a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville and says he's looking for a school that offers immediate playing time.

Zach Anderson is one of the top defensive end prospects in the junior college ranks. The East Mississippi standout played quarterback in high school, but Anderson has outgrown that position since his high school days.

"I am about 6-4, 260, right now. I ran a 4.9 at a combine a while ago. I think I have gotten a little faster since then," said Anderson.

Anderson has offers from a host of Big East, Big XII and SEC powers, including one from the University of Louisville.

"I have offers from Louisville, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, and West Virginia. Several other schools have offered, but I can't think of who they are right now," Anderson said.

Anderson is considering several schools and remains wide open with his recruitment.

"I have not made a decision. I am still wide open. I do not have a top five or a favorite. I am considering all the schools that have offered me. I would like to start receiving some interest from Florida State, but they have not sent me anything at all."

It will take several things to get Anderson to make a commitment.

"I want to see how all of my visits go. I would like to start hearing more from coaches. I want to see who is the most interested in me, and will I have a chance to play as soon as I get there. I will wait until after my season before I make a decision," said Anderson.
