Change of plan for Lamar Roberson

Originally slated to attend IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida this year, 6-7 University of Louisville commit Lamar Roberson has had a change in plans.

Though it's not quite official, it's pretty much a done deal that 6-foot-7 University of Louisville commit Lamar Roberson will attend Central Park Christian in Birmingham, Alabama this year.

Roberson, originally from Baton Rogue, Louisiana, teamed with U of L prospect Bryan Harvey last season at Dominguez High School in Compton, California. He was slated to prep at IMG Acadmey in Bradenton, Florida this season but sources say transcript issues will prevent that.

"It's not finalized yet, but we're working to get all the enrollment paperwork done right now," Roberson said Tuesday afternoon. "If everything goes as planned I'll probably be in Birmingham later this week to begin classes."

At Central Park, Roberson would team with U of L prospects Martez Walker and Jonathan Huffman. Huffman, a 6-10 center who attended Louisville's individual instruction camp earlier this summer, will make an official visit to U of L this weekend.

As for Roberson, he was planning to make his official visit to U of L September 10, the same weekend that 6-foot-5 forward Marcus Johnson is slated to visit. Instead, Roberson has pushed back that trip so he'll have the opportunity to get a real taste of campus life at U of L.

"I want to see a football game while I'm on my visit," Roberson explained. "October 2 might be when I come up there for my visit."
